First
Annual Charity Event
Springfield, Missouri December 5, 2006 Christenson
Transportation, Inc. would like to thank everyone who contributed to
the success of its first annual charity event. Together they raised
over $10,000 to benefit Lake Country Soccer through a series of
charity events, ending with a golf tournament at Millwood Country
Club. The golf
tournament was a four person scramble held on November 6th. Fifteen
teams, made up of Christenson employees, vendors and customers came
out to play. Several companies also contributed as hole sponsor's.
There were numerous games and raffles in which the players had the
opportunity to further contribute to Lake Country Soccer with the
chance to win cash and prizes or improve their golf score. The
tournament was followed by a dinner and awards ceremony held at the
Millwood Country Club. The charity also included a donation pancake
breakfast and chili luncheon for employees and vendors held at the
Christenson office. Proceeds from all events were presented to Lake
Country Soccer. Lake Country Soccer is a not-for-profit
organization that has been a part of Springfield's community since
1985. They register nearly 3,500 youth and adult participants
annually and work directly with the Springfield/Greene County Parks
and Recreation Department to provide facilities and events for the
Springfield area. In all areas Lake Country Soccer encourages the
soccer community to develop athletic excellence, self-esteem,
responsibility and good sportsmanship. This is accomplished through
education, facilities, athletic development programs, tournaments,
leagues and outreach programs. As the outgoing President of Lake
Country Soccer, Don Christenson also plans to set precedence for
future Presidents to hold such an event to benefit the organization.
Christenson looks
forward playing a positive role in the community through continued
annual charity events. Thanks to everyone who participated and
contributed to making this event a success!
Title Held
Springfield, Missouri January
19, 2007
Christenson Transportation, Inc. would like to
congratulate Barry Hill on becoming a successful owner operator and
completing his term with the bank, the final step in owning the
title to the truck he began leasing from Christenson in June of
2003.
Barry has
become part of the family at Christenson and a role model to other
lease purchase drivers by proving, yet again, that it is possible to
become a very successful owner operator.
According to Barry,
"The Lease-Purchase Program offered by Christenson was my owner
operator training. They gave me the information and tools I needed
and they helped me get where I am today. If you take their advice
and use their tools they will teach you to become a successful owner
operator."
Christenson would like to congratulate Barry on
owning the title to his truck. We look forward to working with him
as an owner operator and assisting him in purchasing more trucks in
the future.
