Christenson Transportation Photo Contest Rules and Procedures
The Christenson Transportation Photo Contest begins the first of each month and continues until voting has stopped (this is determined by the length of each month). By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest detailed below.
Who may enter:
Eligible Christenson drivers. Christenson Transportation uses the sole discretion to determine a contestant’s eligibility. No inappropriate photos, no photos while driving and no accident photos may be submitted. These photos will be disqualified.
Entries:
Each driver is allowed two (2) photo entries. Each entry must depict the contestant/driver either in his/her truck or next to his/her truck, co-pilot with truck or, truck alone in a scenic setting and promotes truckers and the trucking industry. Driver certifies that he/she is the sole creator and owner of the submitted photograph, and has the exclusive and complete right to submit the photo to Christenson Transportation to use.
Cropped photos are eligible in all categories. We do not accept digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered photos. The addition and subtraction of objects are not permitted. Christenson Transportation, in its sole discretion, may disqualify an entry if it determines that the photo has been altered.
By submitting a photograph, the contestant consents to allow Christenson Transportation to use his/her photo and his/her image in the photo on any Christenson Transportation website, across social media, in publications, and other materials as further set forth under How to Enter. Contestant further agrees that he/she has received written consent for any other individual(s) recognizable in an entry to have their image used for purposes of this contest and those individuals renounce any and all claims of ownership in the photo or their image in the photo. The contestant agrees that if his/her photo is selected as a finalist and there are others in the photograph, the contestant shall provide Christenson Transportation with the original of the other individual(s)’ written consent.
Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's or company’s rights, including but not limited to the copyright, are not eligible. Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent, or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by Christenson Transportation at its sole discretion, are ineligible.
How to Enter:
Contestants should submit their photographs and requested information to use the above form and submit their photos. Contestants are permitted to submit two photographs. In order for each photo to be displayed in Christenson Transportations online gallery without being stretched or distorted, photographs must be submitted in .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format.
We do not accept photographs submitted through the mail.
Christenson Transportation is not responsible for maintaining the privacy of any metadata included in the photograph and entry. Contestants retain their rights to their photograph entries; however, by entering the contest, you grant Christenson Transportation (and those authorized by Christenson Transportation) a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose. Christenson Transportation will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
Entry deadline:
The contest begins on the first of the month and ends at the end of the month give or take a few days in case voting needs to be extended.
Judging:
Winning entries will be selected by all voters. The entries with the most votes will be deemed the winner and will receive the prize. Each voter is allowed one vote. So vote for your favorite photo. Winner[s] will be notified via the contact information provided at the time of entry. Christenson Transportation may disqualify anyone who enters a photo, not of their own, who has left the company, or who fails to respond to the notification within ten business days. Please do not contact us about the status of entries or judging.
Prizes:
Winning entries may be posted on websites and social media www.christensontrans.com, www.cscarrierservice.com websites. Additionally, winning entries may be posted on the websites/social media accounts of contest sponsors and other websites related to the trucking industry.
By entering the contest contestants agree to waive any claims against Christenson Transportation and will be responsible for paying any applicable fees or taxes associated with the prize that may be required by law. All prizes are awarded “as is”.
Conditions of Entry:
The contestant understands and agrees that Christenson Transportation is not assuming any liability related to this contest. Contestant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Christenson Transportation, its officers, directors, members, affiliates, agents, independent contractors, and employees against any and all third party claims, actions, demands losses, damages, injuries, liabilities, expenses, judgments, or settlements, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and the costs of defense, arising in connection with contestant’s participation in the contest and acceptance or use of any prize received. For example (but not limited to such examples), if Christenson Transportation is sued for copyright infringement because the contestant didn’t own the photo is submitted, the contestant agrees to be and shall be responsible for the cost of Christenson Transportation’s defense and/or associated settlement fees; or if Christenson Transportation is fined by a government agency because the contestant failed to pay taxes on the prize, the contestant will be responsible for such taxes and fines.
The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Christenson Transportation reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the winners, Christenson Transportation reserves the right to award or not award the prizes at its sole discretion. Christenson Transportation reserves the right to disqualify any contestant at its sole discretion. Christenson Transportation's decisions regarding the contest are final and unreviewable.
