Rhett grew up in the Springfield, MO area and after high school, stayed in town for college where he attended Missouri State University. Rhett dual-majored in Logistics & Supply Chain Management and Marketing Management. While the logistics degree was initially unintended, it happened to set the stage for a career in trucking. His first job out of college was at Prime Inc., where he worked for over a decade in several roles from intermodal to sales.
Over much of his time at Prime, Rhett was traveling with a country music band called The Brothers Roberson. After a few years of pursuing that dream while also working full-time in trucking the band decided to slow down the travel schedule. Coming back home to focus on his career in the trucking industry, Rhett became interested in creating positive company cultures in trucking. Having completed a master’s program in Organizational Psychology,
Rhett started Paramita Consulting to work with companies on culture, communication, and conflict management. His first interaction with Christenson was as a consultant and there is no better job interview than an in-depth engagement over several weeks! Having the opportunity to get to know the company in that capacity and knowing the internal commitment to continuous improvement and preservation of the company culture, Rhett was excited to accept the offer to head up the recruiting department at Christenson Transportation.
When not working to bring in the best drivers in the industry you can find Rhett with his wife and their daughter whom they welcomed in July of 2021. He is an avid motorcycle rider, traveler, and Arsenal FC fan, and can still be caught behind a guitar and microphone from time to time.
