Lonnie began his career in the trucking industry in 1986, running the dispatch office of Springfield Ready Mix Concrete Co. He gained a rather swift and valuable experience managing a crew of 30 union personnel on a daily basis.
Lonnie moved into the OTR trucking business from there, going to work as a Freight Broker for Gene and Don Christenson at CS Carrier Service in 1992. He then experienced the startup of Christenson Transportation in 1994, and in 1997 left to start a small trucking company with a partner. This company survived several years and he was then offered an opportunity to return to work for Christenson Transportation where he remains to this day.
Lonnie achieved his Certified Transportation Broker Certification in 2003 through an in-depth program administered by the Transportation Intermediary Association. He was promoted to Operations Manager of Christenson Transportation Inc. in 2013 then to Director in 2015, and then to Director of Real Estate. Hobbies: playing with his 5 grandkids, golf, and kayak fishing.
